Giorgio Beverly Hills 2003 Collector’s Bear 31cm – Vintage Promotional Teddy

Apparently, Giorgio Beverly Hills didn’t stop at fragrance. For a number of years, it also produced an annual bear.

This is the 2003 Giorgio Beverly Hills Collector’s Bear, part of the fragrance house’s series of promotional teddy bears, with the year permanently recorded on a sewn patch on his paw.

And somebody clearly took the 2003 dress code seriously.

The cream shaggy bear wears a white collared shirt beneath a tiny dark-brown corduroy waistcoat, complete with three buttons. An original fabric label carries the Giorgio Beverly Hills name, while the paw patch reads GIORGIO BEVERLY HILLS – 2003 – Collectors Bear.

The annual series included bears in different colours and outfits from year to year, turning what could have been a straightforward promotional giveaway into an unexpectedly collectable little chronology of Giorgio Beverly Hills memorabilia.

This example is in good vintage condition, showing the age, storage and handling traces you’d expect after more than twenty years. Please see the photographs for the condition of the plush, clothing and labels.
